On Friday 20th August at 7:30pm in Ballycomey,the new pitch will be blessed , following this, a celebratory mass at 8pm to mark the clubs 125th anniversary, celebrated by club president Monsignor Michael Ryan P.P. Refreshments will be served afterwards. All are invited along for this evening of celebration.

Erins Own Under 8’s played a blitz with Conahy and Freshford in Ballycomey on Saturday morning. Our lads got off to a good start against Conahy and stayed in control throughout to record a good win. The match with Freshford was a tougher encounter with the sides evenly matched for the first half of ground hurling which saw Freshford lead at half time by a goal. They doubled this lead early in the second half but Erin’s Own put in a strong and determined last 5 minutes outscoring their rivals by 5 goals to 1.
