Erin’s Own Gaa will hold a registration day for all members on Saturday March 5th from 2-4pm. Membership costs for 2011 are â¬90 for adult players, â¬40 for adult members, â¬25 students & â¬10 for OAP’s and players under 18. New members are most welcome.

Erin’s Own and Tullaroan contested the final of the Michael Meaney U-14 Country Cup in Tullaroan on Saturday.
The day was wild and windy which made for difficult conditions to play the match.|The Castlecomer boys opened the scoring with a point by John Callinan however this was the first of only 2 scores in the half the second from a Rian Holden free, leaving the half time score Castlecomer 0-2 to Tullaroans 1-3.
Following the break Castlecomer made a change replacing Griffin Carroll with Ross Connolly.
The Tullaroan boys opened the scoring of the second half and scored 1-2 without breply however the comer men started to fight back with a point from Rian Holden and a goal from Ross Connolly . The tullaroan lads proved to be too strong and despite a late goal fromRian Holden the final score was Tullaroan 2-8 Castlecomer 2-3

A joint meeting of the Erin’s Own executive and bord na Nog commitees takes place this Wednesday 9th in Ballycomey @ 7:30pm.
The semi final of the Michael Meaney country cup between Erin’s Own and Slieverue, was played in the Prince Grounds on Sunday afternoon.
Conditions were far from ideal, Slieverue had wind advantage for the opening half, but the Comer boys worked tirelessly to overturn this advantage to build a 2-5 to 0-3 lead at the interval.
The locals continued in the same vein for the second half to extend their lead and finish 4-12 to 0-5 winners.
This was a fine team performance from all the lads and they now will face Tullaroan in the final.
