Under 12 Go Games update Aug 2011

The past week has been a very busy one for the Under 12 team with 3 matches in 7 days. The first was the finals game in The Callan tournament. Comer were paired with local rivals St Martins. It was an excellent all round performance by the Comer lads and they ran out very easy winners.

The holiday season is in full spin at the moment and we were short 8 players for the Go Games match v Rower Inistoige, in Inistoige on Wednesday 3rd. Despite all of this, there was another fantastic performance by the local lads as they again ran out comprehensive winners. It was the manner of the victory that pleased all present to see. Lots of lads in new positions and they all responded very well to the challenge.

The third match of the week v Freshford away was expected, and proved to be, the biggest challenge. Missing a massive 11 players and fielding the bare 15 players the Comer lads again stepped up to the challenge to run out winners by 4 points. It was an excellent performance from start to finish from all the players with the result being a bonus. Well done to all the players and to the effort they put in through a very busy week.

Panel; Joe Hickson, Conor Normoyle, Eoin O’Rourke, Alan Mullally, Ross Connolly, John Dowd, Richard Brennan, Sean Coogan, Thomas Dwyer, Adam Brennan, Liam Holland, James Buggy, Nicky Connolly, Dan Coogan, Jack Buggy, David Ferris, James Brennan, Cathal Holland, Declan Buggy, Conor McMahon, Kevin Brennan, Conor Clarke, Christopher Korff, Billy O’Neill, Peter Carroll, Liam Kenny.
