Bag Pack

Erin’s Own have orgainsed a bag pack in Tesco Carlow on this Thursday, Friday & saturday, with three shifts per day. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

U-21 Hurling Championship

Erin’s Own and Dicksboro served up a highly competitive game in Freshford on Saturday despite the miserable conditions. The Comer men opened the scoring with a Conor Fogarty free, following a foul on Pierce Dargan. Martin Gaffney levelled matters also from a free, he would go on to score six of his sides seven scores. The locals enjoyed their best period with three unanswered points, Mickey Dwyer started and ended the sequence, with Sean McDermott adding the third.A Gaffney free and a Oisin Gough point reduced the arrears to the minimun, before Mickey Dwyer ended the first half scoring with his third point and his sides last score, to leave the score EO 0-5 DB 0-3.

The second half was fiercly contested with both sides refusing to give way. A Gaffney 65 and point from play levelled matters for the second time. Comer made their first substitution with Ciaran Brennan replacing Noel Callinan inj. Gaffney converted another free to put his side ahead. Andrew Carron replaced Anthony Kavanagh and Eoin Brennan replaced Mickey Dwyer as the locals drove forward for an equalising score. Try as they might that score proved elusive, with Gaffney landing another free to finish the scoring at 0-7 to 0-5.

Croagh Patrick

Erin’s Own will undertake a sponsored climb of Croagh Patrick on the weekend of 19th-20th November. Participants will receive free travel, accommodation in the 4 star Helm and breakfast, upon raising a minimum of €150. Spaces are limited, to book your place on the trip contact 086-0514071.  Donations will be given to local charities from the proceeds.
