Fantasy Cheltenham.
The 3rd Annual Fantasy Cheltenham fundraiser run by Erin’s Own GAA Club is
now getting closer and closer with only just over twenty days to the off.
For â¬20.00 you have an interest in sixteen races over the first four days of
Cheltenham and with a prize fund of â¬6,000.00 you are in with a great chance
of picking up some winnings. The club have set out ambitious plans in their
recent Strategic Plan and the Cheltenham Fundraiser goes directly to future
development work at Ballycomey and the Prince Grounds. We would ask all
members and supporters to buy a Fantasy Cheltenham ticket from any of the
promoters.
For the smooth running of the Fantasy Cheltenham week we require up to
twenty volunteers per day in our call centre in Ballycomey. If you can
answer a phone and can offer your services for some or all of the four days
of racing from 9am until 1.30pm please contact Eamonn on 087 2720158 or John
at 087 2299555.
Senior Football. Erinâs Own Senior footballers suffered defeat for the
second week in a row in the Senior Football Championship/League when the
entertained Mooncoin in Canon Kearnâs Park on Saturday on a scoreline of

the first half. With Gordan Byrne proving to be a handful for the Mooncoin
backs Comer dominated and went to the half time break in front. However they
couldnât build on this in the second half and when they Comer boys conceded
a soft goal it was the Mooncoin team who finished stronger and ran out
winners by three points. Team: D.Fenlon, S.Dwyer D.Mullins, N.Callinan,
