Under 14 Football.
The under 14s entertained Lisdowney in the under 14 Football League in cold
Ballycomey on Sunday morning. The Comer Boys started brightly and were
unlucky not to register a few scores early on. Against a bigger Lisdowney
team Comer found it hard to break down their defence. Lisdowney scored the
first points from two frees and added a goal to this to take a five point
lead. With stand in goalie Sean Coogan bringing off some super saves to keep
the Comer Boys in the match and Sean Buggy winning the midfield battle Comer
pushed on and were rewarded with a goal before half time. Against the wind
in the second half Comer found the going tough and Lisdowney pushed on and
added to their tally to run out easy winners. Great credit to the comer boys
who fought to the very end in a very entertaining high standard game. Team.
