Under 7s.
The under 7 boys travelled to James Stephens on Saturday morning last to take on the hosts in a couple of matches. Played in lovely conditions the endeavour was fantastic from all the boys. Resplendid in their Club gear these little boys showed some lovely touches and skill as they put into practise all that they have been learning over the past six months in both indoor and outdoor training. Well done to all the boys and it is hoped to have another return fixture before the summer ends. Training continues every Thursday evening in Ballycomey at 6.15pm. New members are always welcome. Under 7 panel on Saturday was Ewan Connery,Joey Rowe, Michael Rowe, Michael Brennan, Eoin Nolan, Joey Ryan, Shane Holden, David Allen, Evan Harding, James Comerford, Eoin Moore. For the record the boys won one match and drew the second.

Under 14 League Playoff.
The Erin’s Own under 14s boys qualified for a playoff in the league where they took on Lisdowney last Friday evening in Ballyragget. Both these teams had played out a cracking draw in the earlier rounds of the league. The local boys made a great start and were 1-1 to no score up inside the first ten minutes courtesy of a sweet point from James Brennan and a cracking goal from Sean Buggy after he cut through the Lisdowney defence. As the half wore on the Lisdowney boys came more into the match and went to the break a point to the good on a scoreline of 0-7 to 1-3. Early in the second half the Lisdowney boys took the initiative and posted five points without reply. The Comer boys kept plugging away and with James Rothwell, Owen O Rourke , Sean Buggy and Cathal Holland taking the fight to the opposition the were rewarded with another goal courtesy of Sean Coogan. Try as the may they could not bridge the gap from early in the second half and had to settle for second best on a scoreline of 2-14 to 2-5. The boys now have the Championship to look forward to and with the performances put in by this group throughout the league they will have high hopes for the Championship. Panel. Minor Roinn A League
On Tuesday evening last Erin’s Own Minors entertained Dicksboro in the Minor Roinn A League in Ballycomey. Played in good conditions it was the Dicksboro boys who dominated the opening fifteen minutes scoring at will to open up a five point lead. The Comer boys didn?t panic and with a few positional switches the Comer boys fought their way back into the match approaching half time. Going in at the break the Comer Boys were down by two points and hurling well within themselves. The second half was nip and tuck through the first ten minutes but then the bigger and stronger city boys took over and knocked over some fine points to take a commanding hold on the match. The ran out winners on a scoreline of 1-18 to 1-11. Best for Comer were Ciaran Wallace, Robert Moran, Jim Buggy and Rian Holden. Team. Under 13 Lisdowney 7 a side
The Erin’s own under 13s are safely through to the next phase of the Lisdowney 7 a side annual under 13 tournament. On Saturday morning last they played two matches, firstly taking on Naas which the local boys accounted for with a bit to spare. In the second match they came up against Galmoy and needed a late score to progress to the next rounds in two weeks time.
