Erins own U 14 team have qualified for the 3rd round of the country cup after defeating Danesfort at Ballycomey on Sunday. In a game that was played in near arctic conditions the comer boys should their class and commitment to eventually gain the upper hand in this hard fought encounter. Leading by a single point 4 pts to 1 goal at ½ time and after playing with a strong breeze, the comer boys dug deep in the second half to finish 4:6 to 1:1 winners. Scores were hard to come by in the first half in a tight and congested game. In the second half the game opened up with the comer boys gradually taken control .
