Erin’s Own 1-13

St Patricks 0-11

Erin’s own u-21 team qualified for the Northern final this afternoon coming through in the end after a tough match against neighbours St Patrick’s, Ballyragget. Comer started brightest and lead all the way through the first half with points from Michael Murphy and one from Stephen Daly. Peadar Boran ensured entra light between the teams when deflecting a 65 into the Ballyragget net to put Comer 5 up. Comer went in 4 points up at half time. The second half saw  Ballyragget fight back and work hard to get to a point behind but could never bridge the gap. Comer finished strongest with points from Michael Murphy, a couple from Stephen Daly and one from Brian Dillon. It was a team performance down a bit on last weeks first round victroy against O’Loughlin’s but very much a job done in the end. Comer now face Clara in the Northern Final next week.
